History was recently made at the Royal Burgh of St Andrews Community Council Putting Competition on the Himalayas Putting Green when, last year’s winner, 14 year Jamie MacDonald retained the title of the Victory Cup.
His younger 12 year old sister Carly MacDonald won the Andra Kirkcaldy ladies cup. This is the first known time that a brother and sister have won these trophies at the same time.
Jamie and Carly were amongst a handful of young entrants of 60 participants. They both attend Madras, both members of SALJGA. and are very keen golfers:
- Jamie is a member at the New Club and the St Andrews Club and his handicap is 1.4.
- Carly is a member at St Regulus and her handicap is 3.7.
